speedtrapIf you plan on driving beyond the speed limit, then JR Wireless's speed trap alert service may just come in handy. All you have to do is send a text message including the highway or the area you will be driving on, and you will receive information on speed traps identified in the area. Each message costs 50 cents. That's a lot cheaper than paying for speeding tickets, eh?

Though the idea has been around for several years now in Europe, the service will only start today in Ontario and Quebec, and will expand across Canada if it's successful. As an introductory offer, the first 20,000 alerts that the company send will be free of charge.
