lg-kg800 chocolate phoneThe LG-KG800, better known as the Chocolate Phone, came out early this month on the European market and one reviewer thinks it's pretty good, but...  Describing it as "a thing of beauty," and a "stunning device," the reviewer said the sleek Chocolate Phone is the perfect show-off piece to impress people who judge other people by how stylish their mobiles are.

If you want more from your phone than skin-deep attributes, the Chocolate has some of that, too. Performance-wise, the unit delivers clear and loud calls, and a nice and crisp screen that defies bright sunlight, and a camera that produces "pretty cool results". Its heat-sensitive, back-lit touchpad also works well but could pose initial challenge to people with "fat fingers."

Now for the pans. The phone's side buttons (two on each side, including the "end call" button) are hard to use when holding the phone "like a normal person." The flap on the side of the phone, which covers the power/data connection, didn't quite meet the critic's standard. "It’s poorly made - it flops about if you don’t handle the phone correctly and can ruin the look of the thing." The included earphones/handsfree kit are "megga gross and most of the buttons on the extra control don’t do anything."

The LG-KG800 Chocolate is equipped with bluetooth and can surf the net.  In addition, it supports MP3s and comes with 128MB memory which accommodates lots of 3G video footages and music. It retails for about $250.
